Vari beach is one of the most popular beaches on the island. It is located in the settlement of Vari, which is 8 km away from Hermoupolis and it is located in the southern part of the island. It has beach bars, cafes, restaurants and dozens of accommodation.
The sandy beach of Vari is organized with lifeguards and lifesaving equipment. It is accredited with a Blue Flag. The beach also has specially designed areas for rackets, beach volleyball, and fitness equipment. Beach facilities include umbrellas, changing rooms, toilets, showers and sun loungers.
Access is easy by bus (frequent routes), taxis and private cars. The beach has public parking, with specific parking spots for the disabled people and chemical WC for the disabled ones. The innovative autonomous marine access system (Seatrack) is also provided.
